Song used in X Factor, ad, Simpsons, movie … etc Fansites, ezines etc? YouTube channel? Viewing figures on YouTube? Recent re-releases, maybe Greatest Hits? Touring? Tribute band/s? Impersonators?! Ad campaigns/sponsorship deals?]

TRACK LYRICS + BACKSTORY (if a cover, you need to explore original inspiration. Chart/sales figures? Wider use [film soundtracks etc]?) Detail any different versions.

TRACK/ARTIST RECORD LABEL (Brief profile of the label – history, genre/s of music, current status [owned by a major? subsidiary]) Remember, you need to provide evidence of having contacted the rights-holder for permission to use the track. The response is essentially irrelevant, its simply required that you evidence having asked.
